Mido All Dial 1 Watch
New to Mido this season , a well-known Swiss brand, is a watch called “All Dial 1.” I spent quite a time to figure what does the name mean? But I failed. Maybe, like Swiss watch names, it has no real meaning at all. It is just a name. Anyway, a watch must a name to be called and to be remembered. Right?
According Mido, this new watch takes some classic elements from previous Mido watches and aborbs a few popular elements in modern watch design. The modern style is mostly reflected on the dial and the overall feel. But I has to point out that such design is not 100% original. In fact, it is a bot poparizing. You can find similar design on lots of modern Swiss watches.
On the dial, there is a hour ring with applied makers and a minute chapter with numerals. The day-date window appears at 3 o’clock postion. And the hands looks quite masculine and contemporary. Coverind the dial is a sapphire crystal. Overall, the dial is very eye-pleasing and easy to read.
The case is nicely tapered, reminding of the case of a Louis Vuitton Tambour. It is in a perfect medium size -38mm at diameter, making it can be worn by both men and women ( with a bit large wrist.) Crafted from stainless steel and coated with rose gold PVD, the case is water resistant to 100 meters.
The Mido All Dial 1 watch is a a Swiss ETA 2836 automatic movement. As mentioned above, this movement is fitted with a day/date complication. The price tag is quite reasonable at $950.
