Ford Launches Zetec and Titanium ECOnetic Models
Ford has released ECOnetic versions of its high spec Fiesta models. The Zetec and Titanium trims are now available with greener ECOnetic engines, which bring their emissions down to 95g/km.
With the addition of the Zetec and Titanium models to the line-up, there are now three eco-friendly Fiestas for customers to choose from. All three feature a 1.6-litre TDCi engine and offer a combined fuel consumption of 78.5mpg. Add to that road tax and congestion charge exemption and the Fiesta ECOnetic models begin to look very attractive indeed. Not only can you now have a high performance car for a reasonable price, you can have one without worrying too much about your carbon footprint.
Ford of Britain’s marketing director, Anthony Ireson, said, “Many drivers want to drive a car with lower emissions but still want comfort, performance and an affordable price. Expanding ECOnetic across the series answers that demand, with style”.
The entry-level car in the line-up is the Fiesta Edge ECOnetic, which starts from around £13,895. Features include Electronic Stability Programme, air-conditioning and lowered suspension, as well as aerodynamic improvements. Step up to the Fiesta Zetec ECOnetic and you can add on 14-inch alloy wheels, some improved exterior styling such as a lower front grille and chrome surrounds on the headlights, and ambient lighting.
The Ford Fiesta Titanium ECOnetic is the top of the tree and offers all of the above with a Sony DAB radio, Bluetooth voice control function and cruise control thrown in as well. All three models have rolling resistance tyres, aerodynamic rear air deflectors and modified engine calibration to optimise their emissions levels and fuel consumption.
