Problem:Can anyone give a shortlist on the differences between FCE and FCP? I’ve been using FCP since version 1.2, but have never needed all the features on it, usually just doing 3-point editing and exporting files as .mov’s, .avi’s or mpegs.I’ll be upgrading to an Intel Mac in a few months, and will buy a new Final Cut version with it (tax laws here in Germany make that prudent). I’m thinking FCE will do the job, but am a bit apprehensive about not being able to make proper DVD’s (i.e. DVD masters longer than 90 min.).
