Sara Ramirez’s performance in last night’s musical of ‘Grey’s Anatomy‘ set the Twitterverse afire. But, while she garnered positive reviews all-round, the much-anticipated  itself had a more mixed reception.According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ramirez rocketed into the Top 10 trending topics on Twitter as fans immediately Tweeted their reactions to her performance. A typical one reads: “This is gonna be HUGE for Sara Ramirez. She’s a freakin superstar!”The musical was built around Ramirez’s character, Dr. Callie Torres, and showcased her formidable singing chops. Ramirez got her start in musical theater and appeared in several big name Broadway productions before landing the role of the Lady of the Lake in ‘Spamalot’ in 2004.Ramirez got rave reviews for ‘Spamalot’ and went on to win a Tony Award in 2005. She was then cast in the second season of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ as a recurring character, before being upped to series regular for Season 3 in 2006. We’ve heard her singing voice before on the drama — she sang ‘Silent Night’ in a 2009 Christmas season.
