The importance of family unity.
Too many times in the news we learn about an old member of a family who has been placed in the care of strangers, just to find out later on that this person was victim of mistreatment and sometime that mistreatment comes from the family itself. We can also think of rich people that did not have strong family bonds, who end up surrounded by parasites who want to take advantage of them once they are old and their mind is no longer sharp.
A good family unity offer security to it’s member, from the oldest to the youngest. This is possible by having the right type of connections in the family, which mean that each member contribute with their own strength, accordingly, the roles are played by those who are fit for playing that part. The youths are the future of the family, efforts should be make to educate the youngest so they can grow independent and in return contribute to the family unit. This should not be neglected, a good natural evolution is that each generation receive good characteristics from the previous one and add on it for the next one. Things are shared according to what each member of the family need, some money goes toward the children’s education another part toward food, medical needs etc.
In a healthy family, each members count, you will not hear things such as, “well, this member does not have enough money for his medical operation, even though we have enough money to save him, we are just going to let him die while we go buy a third car, that is his problem.” We don’t hear that kind of reasoning in a normal healthy family, the priorities are set in the right order. Working on improving family bonds and connections is an important part of life and as we can see with the example of the rich man who end up surrounded by parasites, it should not be neglected at any cost.
