Mini LED Lightbar Can Be a Handy Lighting Equipment

There is no dearth of emergency lighting solutions today. However, the best of those are the ones that are small in size and therefore portable. These lights can be carried around easily and can be used for various purposes.

A mini LED lightbar operating on a 12V DC power supply with a peak current draw of 1 – 3 amperes could be quite handy when it comes to emergency lighting. This is because mini light bars are extremely lightweight and portable, thanks to their dimensions. But, in spite of their small size there are quite a few features packed into advanced mini light bars, which is what makes them so reliable and useful. For example, some mini light bars come with built-in flashers with a simple switch that can help in choosing and operating dozens of flash patterns that include sequential flashing, double alternating flash starting from the ends and ending in the middle, quad flash and continuous flash. These mini light bars can give you a flashing rate in excess of 200 flashes per minute which is excellent when it comes to grabbing attention of those near and far.

mini LED lightbar is usually aerodynamically styled with a low profile design that makes them ideal for stealth operations too, along with normal rescue operations. The aerodynamic styling lowers the amount of noise they create when mounted on top of vehicles speeding on a highway. Moreover, the aerodynamic design also reduces the air drag resistance. Good mini light bars come with a weather resistant seal to keep the water away at all costs. They come with either extruded aluminum or polycarbonate base. Both these options are ideal for heavy duty handling. Compression gaskets and UV resistant domes are also part of the construction of the mini light bars.

The mini LED lightbar is usually available with 10 foot power cord, interconnector wires for syncing the flashing with other lights and a cigarette lighter adapter. A simple push button switch can be used for turning the lights on or off while some lights come with rotary pattern selector switches which can be used to alter the flashing patterns if required. Some mini light bars also come with separate dash and deck brackets along with rear view mirror brackets and suction cups for mounting. This gives you plenty of options when it comes to mounting these light bars on the vehicle, either on the front, top or in the rear end.

An advanced mini LED lightbar might also make the use of slide-in lenses that can magnify the light produced by the LEDs. End caps are provided with clear lenses and inner filters. These colored filters provide the additional flexibility of choosing the color of your choice for flashing. In fact, some mini light bars come with split center color sections where you can create flashing patterns in multiple colors in the middle and in the ends. The design is straightforward and modular which makes it extremely easy to repair these lights, service them or upgrade them if required. Secondary warning lights are also provided on some mini light bars, which measure about 16 – 24 inches in length and 2 – 4 inches in width and 1 – 2 inches in height, ensuring symmetric weight distribution.
