Letterpress can also be more eco friendly depending on the printer and the type of paper and inks that are used. Digital printing and thermography are both significantly less but are much lesser quality when al is said and done.
If you are still on the fence and making a decision you want to realize that the paper and time are the most expensive elements in your invitation. Some of the eco friendly papers are 100% cotton but the are acid free archival quality and will last for generations to come. So be sure not to sacrifice quality in this regard.
