You do not usually get a phone as part of the deal, but this will not be a problem for most customers. These allow you to take advantage of the package deals that come with monthly contracts without getting locked in. This means that if you see a better offer you can take advantage of it at any time.
If you are on a low budget, or do not use your phone much, then pre pay may be the best option. With this type of deal, you are not locked in to any particular contract, and it prevents you from having to pay monthly bills. As with 30 day contracts, the phone is not included as a freebie, and you do not usually get many free calls and texts included.
