David Wayne Fish Advises People to Start with Moderate Workouts

In the course of his career as a fitness trainer and health consultant, David Wayne Fish is frequently asked by his clients on how active they should be in order to be fit and healthy. Fish always have the same answer for everyone, regardless of their current condition, and that is to start with moderate 30-minute workouts performed 5 times a week. The operative word here is start though, and certainly as time goes by the amount of time a person spends working out may increase in relation to his fitness and health goals. For many, a 5-time thirty-minute workout every week is a daunting task, but Fish says that it is actually quite easier than it looks. The keyword for this point is moderate. Individuals who are just starting their fitness journey are not required to performed heavy and strenuous exercises right away. In fact, they are required to perform only moderate exercises for their own safety. Their bodies are as yet unfit and untrained to perform anything beyond moderate.

Moderate workouts will cause a person to breathe more heavily than usual, says David Wayne Fish, but it will not cause him to be completely out of breath. Moderate workouts will also cause a person to feel flushed and warmer than usual but again not to the point that he is burning hot and sweating profusely. That is not to say, however, such sensations are unhealthy. They are not, but they should only be experienced when performing heavy or strenuous workouts. If a person experiences such sensations while performing a moderate workout, then that can only mean either of two things. He may have performed the exercise incorrectly or he is in severely bad shape.

Ultimately, David Wayne Fish advises individuals to take it at their own pace. They should not be pressured into matching the pace of people they know or are exercising around them in the gym. There will come a time that they can run for an hour instead of just fifteen minutes, but that time should come naturally. Forcing that time to happen can only lead to injury.
