Access floor system

Raised Access Flooring is used in a variety of applications when ready access to conduits which run under the floor is needed. Usually, the flooring system consists of a series of tiles laid into a grid supported by pillars and beams. Raised flooring is frequently used in data centers so that cabling can be run under the easily lifted floor panels. Some homes are also being sold with heating and cooling systems embedded under raised flooring. Not only is this more efficient, but it becomes much easier to service these systems when it is needed.

Panel flooring that has given the building designs an entirely new phase of functionality. Through careful installation and construction of elevated floors above the original floor, an area can be configured or even reconfigured with the air vents, data cables and the wiring below. Simply raising a panel provides instant access to any part below the access floor.

The access floors allow the designer to put wires and ducts beneath the working surface of the floor. By utilising the system of various interlocking panels which can be lifted easily, the access floors allow entry to the space beneath and that too without causing any disruption.
