Best of British!
There is no escaping that the whole world is in an economical crisis. The downturn in production and consumer sales has been widely published. This month the SMMT ( The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders) reported that car sales had fallen during the vital month of September and forecasts for 2012 are looking dismal. The current crisis needs British people to do what they do best, pull together and make Britain great again. The question is, how? I have made a personal resolution to “Buy British” whenever I can. So why buy British and how does it help?
Many economists praise the globalization of the world market. Goods are being produced faster, more efficiently and consequently cheaper. However those same economists do not take into account the impact global economies have upon individual countries. If British people start to support our own country we can create future prosperity for the generations to come. We can once again take pride in British capabilities and become less reliant on other countries for the supply of products.
There are many online sites which offer advice on British manufacturers for those people who are unsure of the origin of a particular brand. The sites list categories of products and highlight which manufacturers are indeed British. Whilst exploring the site I felt very proud to be British, especially when it came to the Vauxhall Corsa Cirencester car manufacturers. The British automotive industry may not be what it once was but it still represents class and quality. Land Rover, Jaguar, Rolls Royce and Bentley are all world class cars and indeed made me proud to be British.
