The Home champions of Unwanted Hair Removal
Unwanted hair removal is something that concerns all women, and in case you don’t want to go to a professional salon you can take care of the matter on your own at home.
Sugaring
This is one of the most traditional hair removal products used for centuries. The advantage is that it is easy to use and the results are great. All you need for it is a cup or regular granulated sugar, the juice of half of lemon, a quarter of cup of honey and optionally a drizzle of molasses.
To prepare the recipe for unwanted hair removal, just mix the sugar and the lemon juice in a bowl. Add the honey and mix well. Heat the mixture in the microwave for 2-3 minutes. Add the molasses, if you are using.
Apply cornstarch to the area that you would like to use hair removal products on, and then spread the mixture on the skin. Press a piece of cotton on the skin and quickly rip it off in the opposite direction of hair growth.
The good thing about this method of unwanted hair removal is that the mixture can be reused if you keep it in the fridge and then reheat it. The downside is that the hair has to be at least ¼ inch long.
Milk and turmeric powder as hair removal products
This combination is popular among Indian women, and some of them even claim that it stops hair growth permanently. Regardless whether this is true or not, it is great for unwanted hair removal in case of the face. The ingredients include half a teaspoon of turmeric powder, a cup of chickpea flour and a bit of cream or milk.
You have to mix the turmeric powder with the milk and the chickpea flour in a bowl and you should achieve a thick paste, just as in case of other hair removal products. Apply a thin layer of the mixture over the skin and scrub the area gently in circular motions using your fingertips. Let the paste dry for about 20 minutes. Then finish the unwanted hair removal by washing the mixture off with cold water.
As you can see you don’t have to buy hair removal products from the store that come with many chemicals that can turn out to be harmful for the skin. You can create your own products using only the natural ingredients.
