‘The Walking Dead’ season 2: Robert Kirkman talks major question
On Sunday night, “The Walking Dead” is going to finally return to AMC for its much-anticipated second season, and there will be a number of mysteries solved over time — however, don’t expect one of them to be about the origin of the zombies that we have grown familiar with since the beginning of the show.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, comic creator Robert Kirkman says he does not envision the show touching on why the zombie apocalypse happened to begin with in the near future:
“As far as actually finding the answer to things, we’re probably not going to be doing that anytime soon.”
With this being said, you can expect there to be a tremendous amount of backstory moving forward with some of the characters — and we are going to see the zombies utilized in a number of new ways.
