Guidelines for Mobile Apps On Public Comment
The Mobile Marketing Association has announced Mobile Application Privacy Policy. The policy is aiming at curbing the public comments made by mobile app development companies. MMA Privacy & Advocacy Committee has shaped the Mobile Application Privacy Policy. The policy will control the core privacy issues and data processes of mobile applications for public comment.
The Mobile Marketing Association’s Global CEO Greg Stuart said, “These new privacy policy guidelines fill an urgent need for all companies doing business in the mobile marketing industry. The guidelines are intended to provide ways to give the mobile application developer with clear and transparent policy language that can be quickly and completely understood by the consumer.” Further, he added, “Today’s release is the first in series of privacy policy guidelines that the MMA will create with the input of industry leaders across the mobile ecosystem.”
The guidelines issued by MMA include many issues like core privacy principles and consumer-friendly language for iphone developer, methods to inform users about how data is found and used and security and confidentiality of information.
It has been clearly mentioned in the guidelines that if app development companies or professionals want to use these guidelines for their benefits, they must consult the legal professionals first to avoid any legal action.
