How to Pack Pictures Frames and Mirrors
How will you pack pictures, frames and mirrors without breaking corners or breaking glass when you are moving to new home? How will you pack such items correctly so that you can shift them to your new home without damage? Here are some important tips and ideas which can assist you pack such items properly so that you can shift safely to your home with no damage at all. Before you start pack such items, collect necessary items. You will need such items. You will need items like proper size box or carton, bubble wrap, wrapping sheet, packaging tape, marking pen, etc. Make your purchase these packing supplies of good quality. Do not compromise with the quality of the packing supplies.
1. Choose a carton of appropriate size – bigger than picture you need to pack. Make sure you choose strong and sturdy carton. It is advisable that you should use the carton your mover recommends you.
2. Put the carton on surface flat. If the carton is put together already, break it apart.
3. Seal one end of the carton securely & firmly using heavy duty packaging tape.
4. Put the picture in its frame flat on an oversized piece of good quality wrapping sheet or bubble wrap.
5. Wrap the picture properly in the bubble wraps or wrapping sheet. Wrap them nicely in way as if you will give them to someone as a present or gift.
6. Slide gradually the picture into the aperture of the carton. Seal the end using enough layer of good quality packaging tape.
7. Label the carton marking the outside of the carton, (on both sides) with tag “FRAGILE” and its location, living room kitchen room, bed room, guest room, dinning room, etc.
8. When loading the carton on the moving vehicle, place the boxes picture vertically not horizontal or flat. It is because, the picture will absorb easier on its frame or side than when flat or horizontal.
9. If you need further extra protection for the corners of your picture frames or mirrors, you should purchase specialized cardboard boxes for this purpose. Moving companies can suggest you for recommended & specialized boxes
10. Place a series of packed pictures or mirrors vertically on inside the strong cardboard box. Make sure they are surrounded by other packed boxes.
