Nissan Schools’ Engineering Discovery Event
My daughter is so excited about going school today; I’m not sure why because I usually have to drag her out of bed just so she isn’t late for school. I asked her over breakfast what had changed in school that has made her so eager to go and so she explained where they were going.
I listen really carefully to her but it just didn’t make sense to me at all, so I just nodded and smiled her as though I understood. As soon as she walked out of the house I quickly went on the internet to find out exactly what she was on about.
I just finished reading the first part of the article when I realised I’m getting late for my appointment at the Nissan Van dealer in Kent. So I had read a quickly as can through the rest of the article and found it very interesting.
The Nissan Schools’ Engineering Discovery Event will help my daughter to decide what she wants to do after her GCSE, as she is really confused at the moment. Before I logged off I had to read what the director of Nissan had to say.
Richard Ebrahim, Nissan Sunderland Plant Engineering Director said: “Nearly everything that we use in our daily lives involves an engineer – whether it’s designing, building or testing. British engineers are behind some of the world’s most iconic inventions and Nissan is very proud of the contribution that our engineers have made to this tradition, with their innovation, excellence and a ‘can-do, will-do’ attitude. We want to inspire students who are considering which GCSE subjects to choose, by showing them that a career in engineering and advanced manufacturing is a diverse, exciting and rewarding choice.”
