New Chevrolet is launched off a building!
Chevrolet has been very quiet in recent years and in the meantime the rest of the Automotive Industry has been very busy. In recent years Manufacturers have been through every marketing medium so far, from global online viral campaigns, to oversized projections of their beloved vehicle on the side of a historical building.
Chevrolet is a hot topic of conversation amongst Americans as recently a bold, and seemingly fearless new Chevrolet Aveo was literally launched off the roof top of a 10-story building in aid of Chevrolet USA ‘Let’s do this campaign’.
To promote the launch of the new Chevrolet, a 5 door hatch Aveo took a nose dive into a paddling pool before bouncing back up as research had shown that extreme sports are hugely popular to the car’s target market age range of the 18-30 customer. Last Month the car was launched as the fastest in history moving from 0-60 in 0.4 seconds as it took a sky dive from the back of an aeroplane.
Marketing the new Aveo in Long beach, California the real life display of the online campaign continued throughout the day. Online customers previously have had to click on www.letsdothis.com in order to push the car over the edge, and after 2.5 million collective clicks from visitors the car named ‘Sonic’ was literally pushed.
Cannot wait for the same stunts to be filmed within the UK, just imagine seeing a new Aveo in Cirencester flying over the fields on the way to work!
