WFG Review of Small Town Life

A WFG review of the small town life Kristi and Billy Sorensen enjoy, written by Deanna Hart, highlights how this couple has used their business to help families in their hometown get their finances in order for a brighter future. Marketing Director Kristi Sorensen and her husband, Billy Sorensen, knew they connected when they met in their hometown on Utah’s Uinta Basin, but they didn’t know it would lead to both a marriage and a business. Kristi always felt a particular connection with their town of Talmage, Utah, with its wide open spaces where you can go for miles without seeing a shopping mall and there are no freeways in sight. Being able to return to this land with her husband and sons to help bring financial freedom to those living there is like a dream come true.

Kristi Sorensen gives CEO Marketing Director Rich Cunningham the credit for introducing her and her husband to the opportunities to help their community with this unique insurance and financial services company in the WFG review. Before all that, though, she had to meet her husband in order to have the life she now enjoys. The two both grew up in ranching families in their hometown, but Kristi initially left for Salt Lake City to work for a medical insurance company, while Billy stayed in the community and built a successful construction and welding operation. In 1994, a year after Billy began his work in construction and welding, Kristi returned to work for the same company in their hometown.

Once Kristi had returned to their hometown, they knew the time was right and decided to get married. Shortly after, Rich Cunningham introduced the couple to the financial opportunities with WFG and they started working together to build a stronger financial foundation for themselves and their future family. They didn’t stay clients for long, though. As Billy says in Hart’s recent WFG review, they basically “stumbled onto Rich” when they realized they didn’t know what to do with their money. They had no idea this chance relationship would change their lives.

It was back in 2001 that the couple met Cunningham and became his clients; shortly after that, Kristi became a company associate. With her experience in the medical insurance industry, she was ready to share her new knowledge. Now she and Billy are proud to be improving the lives of those around them.
