Musandam Peninsula is a part of Oman that is isolated from rest of the country connecting United Arab Emirates. It is located on the northern border of the Sultanate of Oman consisting of high mountains for more than two thousand meters above the sea level covering an area of 1800 square kilometers with a population of 31,425 people. Initially, to reach Musandam was not an easy task, but after 2008 many steps have been taken to connect Musandam with Muscat by launching the world’s fastest passenger ferry. The naturally geometrical route of Oman governorate also contains the most important waterway called The Strait Of Hormuz. This waterway distinguishes the governorate due to its strategic location. The Khasab’s Governorate is located at a distance of 570 kilometers from Muscat featuring special villages and unique thrilling roads. From Muscat, Khasab can be reached via direct flights.
Wilayat Bukha
Wilayat Bukha is located on the west side of Wilayat Khasab consisting of 86 villages. The Fort of Al Bilad and the Fort of Al Qala’a on the top of mountains are special features that hike tourism.
