Kids adore the classic Wheels on the Bus song
As a proud parent I’ve become accustomed to singing a variety of songs to entertain my young daughter. She giggles with delight when we both sit and sing different types of nursery songs and The Wheels on the Bus has to be one of her favourites. Throughout her infant years she loved listening to baby music and we’ve now progressed onto the Wheels on the Bus which is a fabulous song. In a way, the Wheels on the Bus is my guilty pleasure, I love singing along to the tune and carrying out all the actions at the same time as my daughter. I’ve lost count of the amount of times we’ve both sung the Wheels on the Bus but in fairness it’s one of those tunes that you never grow tired of, no matter how many times it’s been sung.
Alter the lyrics to Wheels on the Bus
Although there are standard lyrics to the classic Wheels on the Bus song we’ve made up a few extra choruses just for fun. To be honest, this was done by accident because when we first started singing The Wheels on the Bus I couldn’t remember all the original lyrics. It was only when we bought a CD from a store that sold baby music that my daughter and I finally heard the true lyrics to the song. It didn’t matter though, out version of the Wheels on the Bus was just as much fun and it was a bit of challenge to think of new lines to add to the music. Even now we’ll still add a new line to the original version of Wheels on the Bus if we’re out and about in the car.

Car journeys with young children can be testing affairs so it’s handy to have a selection of baby music or nursery songs available like the Wheels on the Bus, so you can all have a good old sing along. We’ve kept our daughter totally entertained on many a road trip singing the Wheels on the Bus in the past. Classic songs like the Wheels on the Bus keep kids totally entertained, they love singing along and doing all the actions. Without Wheels on the Bus many of our journeys would have ended in tears and it probably would have been my wife and I doing all the crying.
