Ask a group of people if they have a watch & you are sure to find the majority have several. For many they are accessories, OK a lot of people use their mobiles or ipads for a quick time check, but things have moved on since the days a watch was only used to tell the time. Some people have been known to wear different watches to suit their moods.
Fashion watches can be found on the catwalks & in many designer collections. Michael Kors is a well respected brand. it appears that several celebrities have been known to have designs on this label. With over 30 years in the fashion business a collection of watches in partnership launched with Fossil to add to the collection.
Here are a couple of examples:
- The women’s MK 5273 is certainly bright, the orange acrylic strap is attached to a round orange dial which is 45mm in diameter. It is a perfect example of a unisex watch, even though it is generally advertised for women, men appear to wear them too. The band is 24mm wide & fastens with a deployment (hidden) clasp. Other features include a tachometer, allowing you to measure distance, there are 3 sub dials & a date display & its also luminous.
- The MK5324 is another example, this time in purple. The round stainless steel case has a purple dial with silver tone & gold hands, arabic hour & index markers alternate in the 38mm case. As well as a Chronograph with sub dials displaying 60 seconds, 60 minutes and 24 hours, there is a date display set between 4 & 5 o’clock. It seems that customer’s don’t believe the pictures do this design justice, they say it is much nicer “in the flesh” & although large it looks classy & is not too heavy.
Fashions & trends come & go but for a lot of people watches are a part of daily life. A watch can help dress an outfit up or down. An oversized watch can be sporty, glamorous, luxurious & practical. With so many different styles & makes to choose between it can be quite a task finding your ideal match. Even so, it can be fun looking, & whether you want something for the tennis court, a formal dinner or to wear in the office you can be assured there is likely to be something out there for everyone.
