Rocket fire from Gaza continued into late Sunday night
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, with herve leger skirt spokesman Qari Youssef saying the insurgents were targeting what he claimed was a guest house affiliated with the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan. But UNAMA does not operate a guest house in the area.
Earlier reports said three security guards in the area were killed, but Mohammad Faisal, spokesman for the Kandahar governor’s office, said three civilians and one policeman were killed. Three civilians and a Nepalese guard were wounded, said Faisal.
UNAMA said it was aware of the situation, but that “all our staff, both Afghan and non-Afghan … have been accounted for,” said agency spokesman Dan McNorton.
The attack comes two days after the Taliban launched a brazen midday suicide bombing in Kabul, striking a NATO convoy on Saturday and killing 17 people, including five NATO service members, eight civilian contractors and four Afghans.
Ban “hopes that both parties will fully respect the calm as brokered by Egypt,” the statement said, and also “urges maximum Israeli restraint following the killing of a reported 10 alleged militants.”
Rocket fire from Gaza continued into late Sunday night, according to the Israel Defense herve leger dresses on sale Forces, which said in a statement early Monday that the Israeli air force responded with an airstrike on the suspected militants.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that Israel would target anyone who attempts to fire more rockets.
“It is not worthwhile for anybody to test our determination to invoke the government’s defense principles. We will prevent every attempt to shoot at Israel, and we will hurt everyone who nevertheless succeeds at doing so,” Netanyahu said at the opening of a medical school in northern Israel. “We have no desire (to see) deterioration in the situation but will defend ourselves according to these principles.”
The Israeli air force said its Sunday attacks targeted three suspected rocket launching sites and one “terror tunnel” in northern Gaza; and two “terror activity” sites in southern Gaza, as the wave of back-and-forth attacks between the Israeli military and Palestinian militants continued.
No one was hurt in Sunday’s attacks, security forces in Gaza said.
On Saturday, at least 10 people were killed in Gaza and southern Israel.
Saturday’s violence began when two Islamic Jihad commanders were among seven militants killed by Israeli strikes targeting a training camp in Rafah, Gaza, a spokesman for the militant group and medical sources reported.
The no-exception position is considered the most rigid among those opposed to abortion rights. Even some who oppose abortion support exceptions in extreme circumstances. Cain told CBS he’s “pro-life from conception, period.”
Asked whether that includes instances of rape or incest or when a woman’s life is at risk, Cain said, “Correct. That’s my position.”
He also endorsed a controversial theory linking abortion to racial genocide. Cain said Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger wanted to eradicate minorities by putting birth-control clinics in their neighborhoods, a charge that the group denies.
“In Margaret Sanger’s own words — she didn’t use the word ‘genocide,’ — but she did talk about preventing the increasing number of poor blacks in this country by preventing black babies from being born,” Cain said.
The view has gained currency in the anti-abortion movement, which has pushed several state measures to ban abortions based on race.
In Cain’s home state of Georgia, dozens of provocative billboards popped around Atlanta last year, labeling black children an “endangered species” in an effort to rally support within the black community for the opposition of abortion rights.
