Backup BKF files with Hotfix Tool
The Hotfix tool can fix certain type of BKF errors including the error 8001.Hotflix. Don’t use Hotfix unless it is a very serious issue and drop the idea of using if any other error other then 8001 is appearing. It can be downloaded from the Microsoft support website with some basic system requirements. After downloading Hotfix run it in the system and ignore the error for fixing it in background.
Run backup operations for extracting BKF files
The user can conduct separate backup BKF files for the Exchange Server 2003 databases and system state. After the System State backup the storage group becomes changeable.
