Gujarat University first semester exams postponed to November 30

The Gujarat University (GU) has postponed its first semester exams, scheduled to be held from November 14, to November 30. Nearly 80,000 students will take this exam.This is the first time, to run OJ semester exams after the implementation of choice, a credit system (CBCS), BA, B. Com, B. Sc and B.Ed courses.

The delay in examinations has only intensified rumors of Gujarat University campus during the total lack of preparation on part of the Varsity to implement the CBCS system. From the beginning, GU become confused about the completion of the program, elective courses to be offered under the CBCS and interim examinations.

According to officials the approval of the final exam forms OJ was declared by October 22. However, there was a total lack of coordination between universities and OJ. Forms were not delivered on time, as originally committed to the college authorities were conducting internal reviews. Later, the students went on holiday Diwali.

OJ has recently opened a six-day Diwali festival. At the same time, the University has had a tough time to deal with the administrative staff, who said it would boycott examinations until their problems are not resolved. Caught in countless storms, it is clear that OJ was not only able to take exams at the time agreed.

GU sources said that problems in implementing the education system and half of the program also resulted in a delay in the issue papers of different streams. The tests were carried to buy more time.

OJ officials, however, to save face by saying that November 14 was the date originally announced, but now has announced the November 30 final. But officials agree that the CBCS system forced the universities this year and is expected to create more problems in the future as a control document through the semester exams will be almost a month and a half, a little ‘time to complete program teachers.
