Benefits of Air Conditioning
In the past, air conditioning was seen as a luxury that only the elite few could afford however nowadays it is a necessary part of our modern lives. In developed countries where the heat and temperature of indoor spaces is unbearable, air conditioning is used in both public and private buildings to ensure daily lives are not affected by unbearable temperatures. If air conditioning was not available in places such as shopping malls, restaurants, cinema theatres or office buildings, these places could be deserted on extra sunny and humid days. Workers may not be as productive in hot offices therefore air conditioning is essential to maintain optimum room temperatures for comfortable working environments and maintain productivity levels. On hot sunny days, shoppers may prefer the outside weather than walking around shopping centres. However if the shops had air conditioning, shoppers may want to get out of the heat and into the cool temperatures that air conditioning offer thus increasing the visitor numbers even on sunny days. Air conditioning in shops means the shoppers will take their time browsing rather than trying to find the nearest exit when the temperatures rise higher than what is deemed comfortable. Air conditioning in restaurants allows the temperatures to be controlled during all opening hours. Restaurants will need the flexibility of controlling temperatures with air conditioning during busier periods as the restaurant may need lower room temperatures in the day but may need to raise the room temperatures in the evening hours. The busier periods will result in more heat coming from the kitchen and more bodies in the restaurant area therefore the restaurants need air conditioning that is flexible enough to manage these different factors. As well as keeping the temperature of buildings and motor vehicles cool, dual modern air conditioning units can also be installed to provide heating for the winter months. Dual air conditioning units means you only need one temperature system to maintain thus reducing service and maintenance costs. This also ensures the air conditioning is regularly used and inspected.
