Employee surveys are becoming more and more popular within companies these days, there designed to explore a broad range of issues relating to the employers and their employees. The survey when carried out looks to shed light on areas within the company or organization such as working relationships, competitiveness, innovation, technology use and human resource management on the employer side and technology use, training, job stability and earnings on the employee side.
The surveys when carried out are unique and the data that they show up once completed can benefit both employer and employees, when a company or organization is looking for growth it helps to know what conditions to setup with their organization so that their strategy can be fully implemented and effective.
The workplace survey offers potential users several unique innovations, the main one been and showing the link between certain events that are occurring in the workplace, this allows the organization to see what strategies and changes are working over time.
Intern the organizations get a better understanding how their work environment is performing to certain events and strategies and can implement replacement policies if so desired.
360 degree feedback is a process in which employees can receive confidential or even anonymous feedback from other people who work around them or within the same organization. The people involved in this feedback would include the following, employees, managers and peers. A feedback form would be filled out by say 10-12 of these people and the questions asked on the form would cover a broad range of workplace competencies.
The feedback forms themselves would then be measured on a rating scale and could include comments from the raters themselves. All the questions would be the same for all involved in the feedback and the person receiving the feedback would also be asked to fill out a self rating form.
The main aim of the feedback is give the managers and the organization as a whole a better understanding of the strengths and weaknesses. The 360 feedback system then presents the results in a format that helps the feedback recipient to create or engage in a development plan. All responses to this 360 feedback are combined in to the same rater category to ensure and preserve anonymity and also to give the employee a clear picture of their strengths and weaknesses.
The 360 degree feedback tool is a great and useful development tool for people who are not in any sort of management role, it can be used and applied the give a person a better understanding of their own work effectiveness and how it effects their current roles, it will also aid in showing what areas they may need to focus on if they do want to move in to management.
