How to Pack Lamps and Stoves for Move

How to pack lamps safely:
• Remove the lampshades and bulb before packing the lamps.
• Remove the cord and wire if possible. If not, paste the wire to the body of lamp or wrap it around the base.
• Take a box, cushion it. You can pack two –three lamps in one box. You just need to nestle them properly. Protect them from getting rubbed by each other. You can use plain tissue paper to separate them. It will be better to wrap the lamps with bubble wrapper.
• Fill the extra empty space with in the carton with wadded paper tissue paper or foams.
• If your lamp is big in size, then use big carton. You must pack items in appropriate size carton. It is safe.
• Do not pack other items with lamp and shades. Wrap the shades and bulb also. Properly keep the bulbs in the box. They are very fragile. \
How to pack Oven-Stoves safely:
• Disconnect the stove from gas cylinder and clean it properly. You cannot pack dirty stove as it may be oily and tapes will not stick.
• Make sure that the gas lines are shut tightly and are capped.
• Clean the oven and all other parts of the stove.
• Place all oven racks and tape them together.
• Detach the removable parts and pack the, separately. It will be safe.
• Tape the burners and the pans with the body of the stove so that they do not play dancing game during move.
• Tape down the electric wire with the body of the stove.
• Lock the door and tie the oven stove diagonally with the rope.
