Celtic Thunder – An Irish Gem!
In the last couple of weeks we had a call from a company I had never heard of before. Be it my age or location I had never come across the Irish music company called Celtic Thunder. They predominantly perform in the US but also tour in Australia and other parts of the world. They are extraordinarily successful in their chosen field. They have a gruelling tour schedule and a huge fan base that spans continents.
We were given a challenge to come up with an innovative solution for the packaging for the Celtic Thunder merchandise. They sell lots of tour merchandise from their website www.celticthunder.ie They have lots of different size products, everything from key rings and DVD’s to T-Shirts and posters. We needed jiffy bags, padded bags, protective envelopes, postal tubes and postal boxes of all sizes. They key was to make sure the products were in the smallest sized package in order to control postage costs but security was obviously of upmost importance.
We tried all sorts of packing supplies until we came up with the very best solution. There was one bubble envelope for the cd’s and dvd’s, another for books and key rings. But it didn’t stop there. The calendars needed Please do Not Bend Envelopes and the posters need a postal tube. Post tubes can be a pain to get right, but after many samples we finally found the best solution.
So there you have it, Celtic Thunder now has a raft of packaging supplies that exactly suit their requirements.
