IGNOU organises apex on university circles interface
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), School of Social Sciences (SOSS), Department of Psychology, in collaboration with PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a one-day national summit on “Academia-business interface upgrade of the leaders of tomorrow “on Laxmipati Singhania Auditorium, ph. Chamber of Commerce and Industry today.
The summit is composed of seven parallel sessions starting with the leader of the first conclave, the cultivation of innovation beyond corporate walls, the response of the industry and the links in the reform programs and learning outcomes, industry and the academy to close the skills gap ratio, the right to education, psycho-educational perspective, and finally, the cognitive strategies and motivation for student participation and retention.
Mr. Dilip CHENOY, CEO and MD, the National Skill Development Corporation, gave his speech at the seminar and to meet the challenges the industry-academia interface.
“Net enrollment ratio is low, but the dropout ratio is much lower. What students are taught is obsolete due to lack of practical training. Only a certain percentage of the economically active population. He opined some solutions to make ends meet, and established industry: “If you can not identify people who are about to go out of business, may be the best trainers and mentors. Giving examples, he said, “In Haryana, at school, they took four sectors and asked to teach on the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th level. It would be a pilot project where coaches are in the industry, so if a person chooses to leave school, he has the skills and work habits. ”
Prof. Gopinath Pradhan, director, SOSS, IGNOU said, “The industry needs to go back to school and vice versa. A good interaction between the two is lower due to the lack of a working agreement. IGNOU with flexible learning packages can be used platform. This interaction will help to improve skill levels. SOSS provides business psychology as an object to satisfy the needs. ”
