• ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line)- it is a type of Digital Subscriber Line technology , a data communications technology that enables faster data transmission over copper telephone lines than a conventional voice band modem can provide. It does this by utilizing frequencies that are not used by a voice telephone call.
• DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) – it is a modem that used to connect a computer or router to a telephone circuit that has DSL service configured. Like other modems, it is a type of transceiver. Some DSL modems provided by DSL service providers manage the connection and sharing in a network.
• Satellites- satellites in geostationary orbits are able to relay broadband data from the satellite company to each customer. Satellite Internet is usually among the most expensive ways of gaining broadband Internet access, but in rural areas it may be the only choice other than cellular broadband. However, costs have been coming down in recent years to the point that it is becoming more competitive with other broadband options.
• Cable- it is a form of broadband internet access that uses the cable television infrastructure. Cable internet access provides network edge connectivity from the internet service provider to an end user.
