High Heel May Be Chic But Dangerous
Whether wearing high heels is good or bad for your body? I have been reading loads of books on the subject, compared with those actually maintain that high heels are good for you, those against wearing them insist their point seriously.
Those who like high heel figure that high heel contains a magic that makes a lady look good and feel better herself. Some of them insist that high heels can tone calf and thigh muscles by rearing them regularly. As one of the fitness trainer says, walking in high heels or lower ones alters your centre of gravity, training your legs to produce muscle, especially in the calves and thighs. What’s more, in heels, you are doing a full day of calf raises which means adding definition to the shape of your legs day by day. Besides, for those suffer poor circulation and tend to swollen ankles, a shoe with a slight heel (around 1in) can help boost the amount of blood and tissue fluid that is returned from the legs to the upper body.
However, wearing high heels can risk your health. Wearing high heels excessively can shorten your calf muscles permanently. Besides, some of the experts point out that excessive high heel can strain the knees and increase the risk of arthritis. In other words, wearing high heels is a factor that is closely linked to a raised risk of arthritis. In order to avoid strain, you shouldn’t walk more then two miles at a time in high heels, and you should keep heel height to under two inches.
As far as I’m concerned, I can not deny that ladies wearing stylish high heels are really gorgeous. Though I think high heels are probably bad, I am still selfish enough to hope that women continue to wear them. Maybe not every day, but at least on special occasions.
