Going Greener

There has never been a more important to time to think about protecting our environment and trying to save some pennies whilst we are doing it. Here are a few helpful hints on becoming more environmentally friendly.

Your personal use of lighting and electricity can be cut dramatically by taking just a few sensible steps. If you have not already done so, switch to low energy lightbulbs and turn off equipment when it is not in use. You could also consider installing motion sensors which will ensure that your lights are only switched on when somebody is in the room. If you are more serious about protecting the environment you could invest in solar panels or wind turbines and create your own electricity. There is an initial outlay, but the benefit will pay off.

Are you driving an older car? If the answer is yes then you could think about upgrading either to a new model or a slightly more recent used model. Think about hybrid cars or low emissions models if you go new, otherwise a second hand model from a used Fiat dealer in Berkshire will help you cut fuel consumption and therefore costs.

Are you a business owner? If so then you really need to be paying extra attention to the environment and indeed to the profitability of your company. Try to reduce emissions by looking at alternative ways of deliveries. With the current technology available it should also be possible to use video conferencing to reduce the amount of traveling your staff members have to do.

Just remember that when it comes to the environment, every little helps.
