A Serious Issue that needs more Research
According to a Daily Mail report, it is not just men who suffer from premature ejaculation. Some women complain about a sexual dysfunction involving their own premature orgasms, 40% of the 510 women who were surveyed in fact. We should be so lucky. 3% even concluded that they considered their issue as chronic. The study is published in Sexologies.
The women were aged between 18 and 45 and were asked questions regarding controlling the timing of their orgasms and whether distress was caused as a result. The study showed that 40% of the women had experienced an orgasm earlier than they wanted to at some stage in their lives.
The researchers at LiveScience say that it is as serious a problem for these women as premature ejaculation is in men and they hope that more research into female sexual dysfunction (FSD) will be carried out as a result of their efforts and the results they have gleaned.
To say that 40% of women have not been able to control the timing of their orgasm at one point in their lives, does not sugest to me that their problem is in anyway as intrusive as male sexual dysfunction. For the 3% who feel their problem is chronic, this is a different story. More research into this percentage would be enlightening.
