Talley family address labels
If you just barely got thru the Christmas season mailing the cards late (as I did), you may want to be prepared next time by using family address labels. I wasn’t prepared this year and instead sat down to write out every name and address on the envelope, not to mention my own name and address on each one also. It wound up being about a three day project due to constant interruption with other things going on. If I had used address labels, I would have completed the job in a matter of minutes.
If you are new to using address labels, they are very easy to set up in your computer. You may use a program such as Microsoft Word to create the labels. Word is recommended because they usually have every brand and size of label already programmed into the software. You just have to select the right one and start typing the addresses. Once you have typed the names and addresses as well as created return labels, you simply print them out onto the labels. The file can be saved for later use next season.
If you like to do things creatively, you may want to create family address labels of your own design. You can usually fit a design from clipart onto the label area if you keep the text small enough to fit as well. This adds a bit of personality to an address label and even a return label and is fun to create. Using the software program of your choice, you can change the font style to cursive or italic if that better suits your taste.
In using family address labels, you can save time out of your season by using these self-stick labels. It takes just a few minutes to type in the names and addresses and then you are done. The file can be transported thru email or memory card if you need to take them with you to another location. Another great idea to use these address labels is on invitations. If you like to stick with the theme of the occasion, you can usually find a great font style to go with your label on the envelope.
Be prepared for the next season by creating your own address labels. You can create them right from your home and print them out quickly for use. You can find the blank labels at your local store or order online.
