Kausani is a beautiful hill station near Almora.It is a destination of Himalayan tourists.kausani is well known for its natural beauties and pleasant climate.Kausani is 1890 meters above the sea level.It is located 53 km North of Almora.Kausani is ultimate to make vacation with the family unit. Because of its loveliness, tourists come here in all period of the year. Morning to evening, valleys to peaks, altered colours can be seen here. This place also holds significance because Mahatma Gandhi stayed here for a long time in 1929. Kausani is the hometown of the legendary poet Sumitra Nandan Pant.

Baijnath Temple: The Baijnath temple has been continuously under worship ever since its construction in 1204 A.D. by two local merchants named Ahuka and Manyuka. The two long inscriptions in the porch of the temple indicate that a temple of Siva existed on the spot even before the present one was constructed.
Patal Bhuvaneshwar: Patal Bhuvaneshwar, one of the most fascinating places of the Kumaon region, is a limestone cave temple 14 km from Gangolihat in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand state in India. It is located in the village Bhubneshwar.
Pinakeshwar: A small temple in the middle of dense forest. You would love to visit this place again and again, if you visit this place for one time. There is a waster fall near this temple which is awesome. You can have some fun with your friends on this waterfall.
Bageshwar:There are many places of touristic and historic importance in Bageshwar. This town is situated on the confluence of river|Saryu and Gomti}. There are many old temples dating back to 10th century AD. Among them are the Baijnath temple AND Bagnath temples are the most important. the Bagnath temple is situated in the middle of the town just across the confluence of SARYU and GOMTI. Chandika and neeleshwar temples are other important temples in the district.These are on the top of the city(hills).Gives a nice glimpse of the city from these temples.
Bageshwar is also known for tekking. There are following place which visitors generally preffer:
1. Pindari Glacier Trek: The Pindari Glacier trail provides for a 90 km (56 mi) round-trip trek that most people find comfortable to complete in five days.
2. Sunder Dhunga Trek: This one is one of the oldest and beautiful place to trek. It is surrounded by natural beauties.
3. Milam Glacier Trek: Milam Glacier is situated on the south facing slope of the main Himalayan range. It originates from the eastern slope of Trishuli and the southern slope of its eastern subsidiary Kohli.

You have planty of options for food in Kausani. You can get every kind of continental food, chinese food, south indian food and mouth watering Kumauni food. I recommand you to eat Kumauni food the specility of Kausani. Kumauni food is very delicious and tasty.

You obviously like to bring somthing with you from Kausani. So you can buy Pickles, Honey, Gaht dal and do not forget to buy the fresh tea. All of the things are available at the small market of Kausani and in a very reasonable rates.
