LG UK Home Appliances: The Smartest Of Them All?
At the CES 2011 event in Las Vega, LG unveiled a full range of home appliances equipped with the company’s patented ‘smart’ technology, LG THINQ™, as well as its industry-leading core technologies.
The event marked the first time LG had showcased a full line up of appliances to the International CES.
A range of the appliances are now available online via LG UK.
Smart Technology
New and innovative smart features were at the heart of the line-up; Smart Grid, Smart Diagnosis™, Smart Access, Smart Adapt and Food Management will allow homeowners to oversee and manage refrigerators, washings machines, ovens and vacuum cleaners via a smart network.
Whilst groundbreaking in terms of technological advances, they will also offer savings in energy, time and money – improving consumers’ lives.
Smart Diagnosis™
With LG’s Smart Diagnosis™ technology, whenever there is an issue with a home appliance, even minor issues such as a refrigerator door being left open; it will alert the owner on its display panel or, in future models, via a Wi-Fi connection on the consumer’s smartphone or PC.
In addition, another plus is that service technicians, in more severe examples such as a breakdown, will know exactly what to fix and when, helping to make the process of troubleshooting and resolving quick and painless – as well as cost and time effective.
Smart Adapt & Food Management
Letting consumers download the latest options for their appliances, Smart Adapt offers pre-programmed recipes or washing cycles that best fit their individual lifestyle.
Even more, the LG Food Management technology, with its drag and drop icons and voice recognition function, makes it easy to keep track of where foodstuffs are in the refrigerator and when it is to expire.
