should I use blog commenting services
A widely used form of building back links recently is commenting on other peoples blogs. The main reason for this is because back links are one of the main factors in search engine optimisation and by purchasing such services small websites and business’s are able to climb the ranks in the search engine rankings. The main problem with blog commenting services is that most of the service providers complete the project by literally spamming hundreds upon hundreds of blogs in the hope that some of the comments will get accepted. There are of course a few seo providers such as Cyberrankings that only comment on certain blogs which means the back links are of greater quality.
In 2005 Google started to reduce the power of blog comments which in return forced seo companies to use more expensive and hard work strategies to achieve rankings for hard to very hard keywords. This again resulted in quality search engine optimisation becoming extremely expensive.
However since askimet was launched Google has started to increase the value of blog comments slightly more once again. Askiment is a programme that protects blogs from comment spammers. I myself would never host a blog without it. However being a programme visitors who are actually leaving valuable and informative comments are finding that their comments are being blocked. This is a great shame because one of the most popular reasons people start blogging is to build a relationship with their readers.
at the beginning of the year I did an experiment where I would tried ranking a couple of brand new websites for the same competitiveness keyword.
With the first website I would only use high page rank and quality backlinks and with the other I would use low quality blog comments. Here are the results are 30 days below
Site one which only used quality back links
Total Backlinks created – 86
Ranking in Google for main Keyword – 7th
Site 2 – Blog Comments
Total – 6,302
The position is which the website ranked in Google – 32nd
As you can see from the results above the website that I built quality back links too is performing a lot better than the other. A good strategy is to build quality back links and then back link them back links with things like blog comments. I have personally test this strategy and it works like a dream.
