Few things can compare to gliding on pristine snow on a beautiful sunny day. In a lot of ways there’s no other feeling like it, anywhere. That’s right we are die hard skiers and snowboarders. Of course we always want ourselves and our buddies to return safely after a day out in the mountains. So to that end, we think it’s important to provide you with the following three excellent tips and tricks for ski and snowboarding so every outing is only fun and safe.

Using proven technology can enhance your margin of safety while skiing. There is helpful technology for both skiers and snowboarders. One great option for advanced ski safety are ski brakes. This is a device that you attach to your ski binding to stop the ski if your binding releases. Contrast those to the ski safety strap which should be used in those situations where weight is a critical issue. Also, the safety strap is more appropriate where a ski can become permanently lost. A ski brake needs to properly fit the width of your ski if you choose to use this option.

One aspect that skiers and riders tend to forget is keeping hydrated while out doing something you find to be really enjoyable. You might be amazed at how rapidly you can become dehydrated and that can have a drastic effect on your energy levels. However, it’s a skill that just requires learning like all else in our sport, and we feel that once you do it you’ll be able to have more control. Try using one leg to stop wedging. What you’ll do is shift your balance to one side. then slowly lighten up and tip your other side. Once you can do this with confidence, then you’ll be just a little better with control.
