Canopy Beach Chairs Are Superior For The Beach And For Fishing
There is no escaping it. My head burns like a broken egg yolk that is left out in the sunshine too long. Mother Nature was not kind to me. To add insult to injury, I do not have any hair on my head. I might just as well be wearing an intergalactic sign challenging all the suns of the universe to burn my scalp. Disregard SPF anything also. I sweat so profusely when in the sunshine that the UV protection gels just sweat right out. I might just as well live in a cavern, given how sensitive I am.
The trouble is, I like spending time at the beach. It feels wonderful to have the sand just run between my toes, and angling. well, angling simply lets me relax like no other activity. And then there’s the relaxation that just comes from feeling the sea air blow across my face while reading a good Steven King novel. I transfered south to escape the cold winters of Wisconsin Northland, so I am determined to enjoy the heat of the Southland without regard to sun intensity.
To protect my head, I’ve worn caps, used sun tan lotions and sat under beach umbrellas. They are, certainly, all useful in their own ways. But hats get sweat soaked; lotions sweat out; and beach canopies are not as easily moved from one location to another and are not handy when fishing. To embellish my sun block arsenal, I have purchased a canopy beach chair. Each canopy beach chair is built with a built in umbrella or canopy to shiled the sun. The canopy beach chair folds rapidly for easy carrying and storage, and although I am not a flashy guy, the canopy beach chair is reasonably “beach like” in coloration. The canopy beach chair is very handy as a fishing chair also. I have not located any fishing chairs built like canopy beach chairs – that is, built with an built in canopy. Fishing chairs have a lot of other advantageous options, but I am able to live without most of them. The canopy of canopy beach chairs makes is really important when defending my head from the sunshine. A few of the more sophisticated (and high-priced, sadly) canopy beach chairs use fabric with an SPF rating. I think the canopy beach chair I bought is actually more comfortable than standard fishing chairs too. The canopies are generally easily adjusted.
For those readers who are not convinced concerning canopy beach chairs, there are alternate options as well. For example, there are several manufacturers of “clamp on” canopies. The clamp on canopy effortlessly clamps on to any beach or fishing chair. Though I do not find the clamp on canopies as easy to haul as an all in one canopy beach chair, they certainly work.
Some of the makers of canopy beach chairs include Kelsyus, Rio Gear, Tommy Bahama, Bravo Sports, SNC, Realever, Copa, and Redmond, Sport-Bella, and others. Prices range from $30 to about $132, depending on the caliber, SPF rating, and other options. Fishing chairs are similarly priced.
Anyway, whether it is reading, angling, or just sun bathing you enjoy, a canopy beach chair can make the difference between having an excellent beach outing or finding yourself in sun burn caused anguish.
