• Methods of troubleshooting: How does the vendor solve your problems? Do they personally visit if the situation calls for it? Can they solve the problem through remote access? Are webinar sessions a part of their service? Get the answer to these questions.
• Training options: Though most of the property management systems nowadays are easy to use and can be handled by anyone, even then having a helping hand in the beginning can be beneficial. Try to get a training session from the vendor so that you are not confused about any component of the system.
• Software updates: With the changing facets of the industry, software updates, newer versions are the norm. Your web based hotel software is also likely to see changes. But do you get the benefits of an update from your vendor or do you have to pay extra to get an updated version of the PMS?
• History of your inquiries: Does the vendor remember you when you contact them? Have they maintained a record of the issues that you had previously failed? This is important to understand how much they take care of their clients and how important are you for them.
