Supporting Charities To Help Good Causes
Supporting a charity is helping a good cause. You can support a charity in a number of different ways and it does not have to be costly.
Firstly decide if you want to raise money for a local charity or a worldwide one. Local charities can sometimes be easy to raise money for as you have the backing of the community; however some major worldwide ones such as Cancer and Kidney research have tried to help many families.
Firstly sit down and make a list of things you could do to raise money.
*** Local Fun Runs are a great way to help raise money for a charity get the village included and hold a race around the village.
*** Sponsored bungee jumps, are a great way to get people backing you as is something else not done everyday such as aeroplane jumps and climbing.
*** Walks go on a long walk or bike ride and get sponsored to complete it in less than a certain time.
*** Car boots, raise money by selling unwanted items, put a sign up saying all funds go to a registered charity. You may find people donate even if they do not wish to purchases anything.
*** Get permission of the council to hold dress up day in towns and cities and hold out buckets with the charities logo on.
*** Hold an event day such as a concert in a local church or hall and ask a entertainer to do an hours, singing or dancing. They get free publicity and you get the ticket price for the charity.
There are plenty ideas listed above and many more too. Get ideas and place an ad in the local newspaper to get the support of a wider audience. Newspapers are a great way to advertise so get featured.
