Training For The Great North Run
The Great North Run is a half marathon run that is held up North in Newcastle to South Shields. Charity places are popular to help raise money for those charities that are in need of donations for research. This event is very popular so places do run out very quickly.

Invest in a pair of trainers designed for running. After all including the training you will be covering a large distance. Running and sports shop can assist there and help you decide on the make and design. Some shops have treadmills so they can look at your stance when running to find an exact match for you.
The weather on the day cannot be guaranteed so insure you have thought about weather proof jackets, air able fabrics that pull sweat and access water away from the skin to prevent damp and irritation, all of these things will help to keep you dry and happy on the day.
