While designing a computer network, we need to understand the requirement of business and network then we need to decide a topology to implement.
In every company we need computer Network Solution, because computers are used in every company. If we have good design of network then we can save lot of money and stay away from daily network issues.
There are many network typologies.
Star topology, in this design, we make a server and connect local computers with that server. The design looks like a start that is the reason it called Star topology. In this topology, all the local computer connect to the main server, so if any machine get damage then it does not affect other machines. That is the major advantage of this topology. But if your server is affected then your entire machine will get affected. This design of computer network is easy to design and maintain. We can use this design if we need a network in this design.
Before choosing any topology, we need to understand where the computers located. Let’s take an example. If we want to design a Network Support of computers then the first design to see the office design, location of computers. First we need to setup the computers then we need to think about the connectivity. If computers are not located then we need to first design the seats and location.
If you will see bus topology then you will find it very easy to manage and setup. But they the location of your system doesn’t allow you to design in bus topology then you cannot design. If we are setting up new computer systems then you can set system in such a way that your network will be easy to manage.
Mostly people face issues with the existing network and redesign the network. But if we understand the requirement effectively then it will not an issue. So first you need to understand the location of computer systems then we can start working on connecting network.
We also need to take care that we are creating domain or workgroup. In domain, you make one server and manage the entire machine by that server. We need to give access to all the computers by that server, like permission, read write access and other permission. In this case anybody can access their account from any computer. But in work group, all the computers are connected by they are individual systems.
