Kenneth Yellowe – Gives Priority To Local Investors

Kenneth Yellowe is almost a hero for the people of Nigeria. This is because Kenneth has been able to give the country which even the government of Nigeria has not been able to give to its citizens, and that is an indigenously-owned energy plant. Kenneth Yellowe is the CEO of Global Energy Inc. and the company is headquartered in Houston. The Nigerian plant took almost ten years to be developed and the plant was primarily into the business of producing petroleum gas from burned gas. The company has grown by leaps and bounds in Nigeria and now the company is into the establishment of its fourth plant.

Not many people know that Nigeria is a country which abundant of natural energy resources. However, it is still dependent on foreign imports for its energy needs as the country does not have the adequate funds to tap into the potential of the country. Apart from relying on foreign countries for their fuel needs, Nigerians also indulge in the age-old practice of producing fuel, and that is wood-burning. Through wood-burning, Nigerians are causing damage to their own environment and are making it difficult for them to breathe fresh and healthy air. This is one of the things which Kenneth wants to address and hopes that he would be able to change it.

Kenneth has not only been benefiting himself and the investors of his company, but he has also been able to take Nigeria forward and get accustomed to the realms of the modern world. Yellowe is also adamant of the fact that all the investments that go into his company should be from the local investors and the plant named Cawthorne Channel bears testimony to that. The project was worth 250 million dollars and equity investors of the company were mostly people belonging to the different tribes of Nigeria. Kenneth has infinite trust in the people of Nigeria because he grew up there and he still has its home in Nigeria.

The Cawthorne Channel has gone on to be a success and its partnership with the Nigerian plant of Shell Petroleum Development Company is proof to that fact. The contract with Shell would last for some 15 years and during the contract period; all the energy needs of Shell would be addressed and satisfied by Cawthorne Channel. Kenneth Yellowe despite being successful with all his previous ventures is still looking for opportunities to grow and further strengthen his position in the energy industry.
