Choose Ultra Thin LED Strobe Light To Emit Bright Warning Signals
The functionality of a good LED strobe light cannot be underestimated. These lights are small and compact, but they are very useful since they increase the safety features of the vehicle and help in minimizing road accidents.
When it comes to providing an ultra bright warning signal, looks could prove to be deceptive. For example, an ultra thin LED strobe light, which is hardly couple of inches thick and 8 inches long at the most, could provide a powerful and highly penetrative warning signal. When you want something that is compact and yet effective, you can turn to LED strobes and they deliver invariably. It therefore doesn’t come as a surprise that these LED strobes are often installed as part of much larger and advanced light bars that use the latest technologies and cost thousands of dollars.
The effectiveness of the LED strobe light is largely because of a very good design and the stacking up of arrays of highly luminous LEDs. 3, 5 or 7mm LEDs, rated 1, 2 or sometimes even 5W each, can be configured to operate together. The good part about these LEDs is that they are programmable, which makes their behavior predictable. Besides, the LEDs don’t burn out as easily as most of the alternative lighting options. In the end, it is quite possible to combine 9 – 12 LEDs and make them behave as one light head, by covering them with diffusing lenses or deflectors that help in channelizing the unidirectional beams of individual LED elements. Powerful Gen3 and Gen4 LEDs are used as lighting elements and since there are 2 or at the most, 3 arrays, the strobe heads turn out to be quite thin eventually.
The ultra thin LED strobe light has another very significant aspect. The strobe light head is divided into 2 segments in some cases, with each side comprising of LEDs of a different color. Therefore LED strobes need not be just amber or blue in color but could be a combination of both, which makes the light from these strobes even more effective. The strobes are compact and efficient, when it comes to clean and crisp lighting. But, the highlight of their operational capabilities is the variety of built in flash patterns which makes the warning signal attention grabbing and highly attractive. As many as 12 or even 15 flash patterns are sometimes programmed into the emergency lighting equipment. These flash patterns can be easily operated with the help of illuminated and sophisticated switch panels. There are random patterns too, where alternate segments of the strobe heads flash in a random fashion.
The LED strobes in spite of their high intensity do not drain current to the same extent as some of their halogen or xenon counterparts. A simple power supply would therefore do, although one can be assured that there wouldn’t be a compromise in terms of the luminosity. The circuits are well secured from reverse polarity issues as well. Grommet or flange mounts are used for the LED strobe light heads depending on the preferences. Similarly, there is a choice between aluminum, polymer or rubber housing, with each of these options providing corrosion and vibration resistance, besides ensuring that the strobe heads survive some heavy duty handling.
