T Shirt Printing-Get Your Custom-made T Shirts

Many think of t shirt printing as a very complicated process. Actually, there’s no proof to that. In fact, school kids can do this in their classrooms one hour and come out with their custom t shirts after the class is over. You simply should come up with a shirt design and get all the necessary materials to begin the project.

Materials which are required include a rectangular frame or an embroidery hoop. Be sure to check if the design size will fit into the chosen frame. You can get such things from the craft stores and they can be really affordable. Next, you would need a cloth material such as silk screen and even a chiffon cloth if you cannot find the silk screen. Tulle is not an option, the holes are large and may cause smearing of the paint. See to it that you choose a cloth material with extremely tiny holes so the paint can flow through easily.

For the paint, you may always use latex but these can wash off easily following two or three washes. Choose a paint that can stick to cloth materials permanently. You can find many different colors and textures available. Then you would need a rubber scraper to get that paint through the screen and onto the t shirt. This will ensure that the layer of paint is thin enough to dry fast and sure on the t shirt material. Without a rubber scraper, you’ll get uneven and bad results.

As for the design, you have to draw or have it printed onto a paper. As for those who are just beginning, you might need to select only two-toned designs. You may start to choose complicated designs once you’re already experienced enough in t shirt printing. Position a stencil pad over the design, then cut it based on the frame size. If you need two colors, you’ll need two frames also one for each of the color.

Cut out the stencil design carefully ensuring that the second color parts are not cut out. For the second color design, just cut out the design corresponding that color and leave out the design of the other color. You need newspapers to be put inside the shirt. Position them flat onto a surface and also tape the shirt down so it won’t move around a lot if you do the t shirt printing. Make adjustments on the newspapers inside the shirt making sure no wrinkles will show on the surface of the shirt. Now, place the stencil over the region you want the design to be printed on and carefully place the framed screen above it. Using minimum quantity of paint, scrape the paint over the design in one fluid motion. Repeat one more time. Carefully lift the screen and stencil. Let the shirt dry. That’s about it!
