Draft on FDI in Higher Education in progress
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) National Committee on Higher Education is organizing a draft on foreign direct investment (FDI) in higher education, which will be proposed to the Centre soon, according to chairperson of Education Forum CII southern region Nandini Rangaswamy. She was replying to a query from assign on 22nd Dec 2011 during the interactive session of ‘Innovation in Higher Education – Focus on Tamil Nadu’, organised by the CII.

Higher Education Minister P Palaniappan on the circumstance, quoted a study by Technopak ‘Forecasting the Financial Potential in Education’ said that private investment in Indian higher education in 2013 would be in the region of $70 billion, which would grow to $115 billion in 2018.
