Air conditioning is considered a luxury in most part of the world. But in some areas, it is a necessity due to the extreme weather conditions experienced there. What do we understand by air conditioning exactly? It is the technique of conditioning the air to bring it to a temperature that is comfortable to us. Fire place can also be considered as one tool for conditioning air since it heats up the surrounding air but generally by air conditioners we mean air coolers and not air heaters. It is probably one of the best inventions made by mankind. Just imagine what you would do without an air conditioner if you had to stay in a place like in the extreme heat of the Sahara desert.
There are different kinds of air conditioners available in the market, manufactured and sold by numerous companies all over the world. Houses or homes and all small places generally use window air conditioners or split air conditioners but big buildings like all shopping malls, company offices and hotels and so on generally use a centralized air conditioning system. This centralized system cools the whole building at the same time keeping the temperature moderate and same for all the floors whereas single unit air conditioners can be operated individually as per needs and requirements. Similarly, it can be well understood that setting up a single unit window or split air conditioner is a far easy job than setting up a centralized system since for a centralized air conditioning system you would need to consider how many openings you require, how strong a system you need, so on. Maintenance too is much easier for single unit air conditioners for obvious reasons.
Maintenance for at least a year should be freely given by the company from which you buy your air conditioning system, be it window, split or centralized, if the company is a good and reputed one. Make sure you sort things out regarding maintenance and warranty before buying an air conditioner from any company. For centralized systems though you cannot go air conditioner shopping instead you would have to give the contract to a company who will then send engineers to set things up. Even for single unit air conditioners, installation should be provided free of cost by the company along with a starter kit. Hence enjoy your air conditioning and cool off in hot summers.
