Telecom is a general term used for Telecommunication Company. It is abbreviation for the term telecommunication. In India the government department for telecoms is TRAI i.e. telecom regulatory authority of India. Telecommunication is a method of exchanging the information over significant distances by electronic means. The exchange of information is between two devices transmitter and receiver.

Telecom carrier is the term used for the company that is authorized by regulatory agencies to operate a telecommunications system. According to the facts informed by telecom regulatory authority of India total number of subscribers were nine hundred seven million approximately at the end of September 2011. The Indian telecom sector is dominated by private sector industries. Almost eighty eight percent of total telecom industry is in the hands of private corporations. Due to liberal policies of telecom regulatory authority of India, it is easy for private companies to work freely and fairly. Bharti Airtel is country’s largest private telecom operator, it added 0.94 million subscribers. Vodafone closely following it added 0.92 million customers. Bharti Airtel is now in news due to its deteriorating services. The recent data released by national service helpline also approves the deteriorating service and customer dissatisfaction. Vodafone customer’s have complaint about its poor roaming services.
