Since the day we were born we have always been cared for and supervised by nurses, we have been nursed back to full health every time we got sick or hurt and even as we get older we will still be nursed by a person who is dedicated to this profession or practice.

Nurses can follow their professional interests by working with any group of people in any institution at any time, though most nurses follow the traditional role of working in a hospital. Nurses can be seen practicing their profession in various places: from tending to their patients at home or children at school and even in research for diverse pharmaceutical companies, from free-standing clinics to physician offices and even camps.
Nurses are known throughout the world to be nice and caring individuals, mostly female, and they can always help the sick and provide empathy for the needy. There was a time when nurses were seen as mediocre, always compared to the doctors that they were serving under, but thanks to a various number of influences, the image of the nurse has been improved greatly. One great influence over the nurses image has been the television, with shows that presented the seriousness of the nurses training and their working environment, how the nurses were taking care of the most difficult patients under the most stressful situations and how in the worst of situation they could provide love and care.
